Hey everyone!

This has been a wonderful week, musically, and I am absolutely delighted to share these songs with everyone. I hope that you all take the time to check out each of these songs and the artists who have created them. Enjoy!

5. Among Savages- New York City

New York City by Among Savages is rather inspirational song that encourages listeners to not give up when things do not go as planned. I came across Among Savages at a SOFAR show in Los Angeles, and I was quite impressed by them. They happened to play New York City off of their debut album, Wanderings of an Illustrative Mind, and I have been listening to the song off and on throughout the entire week. The impressive vocals, lovely arrangement, and uplifting lyrics all come together to make this song quite addicting. To purchase New York City and other songs, click here.

4- Sean Rowe-Bring back the night

Bring Back the Night by Sean Rowe is a soulful and heartbreakingly beautiful song that I can’t seem to get enough of. Sean Rowe’s deep voice paired with the smooth arrangement suit the lyrics perfectly. Sean Rowe is definitely a musician to look into. 3.Humming House- Forever is Better With You

Humming House’s Forever is Better with You is a wonderful song that has been stuck in my head this entire week. Endearing lyrics, amazing vocals, and a toe tapping, folky arrangement, are all attributes to making this song so amazing. I look forward to hearing more from this newly discovered (for me) band. The band hails from Nashville and has so far released a self-titled album and a live album, entitled Live at the Red Clay Theater. Check out Humming House here.

2. Swim Lessons- someday

I had the pleasure of discovering Swim Lessons at a recent Sofar show in Los Angeles. The first song that Swim Lessons performed was Someday, and it instantly intrigued me. The vocals are smooth and the arrangement is very catchy. Those attributes, combined with well-written lyrics make for a catchy tune that you’re happy to admit that you enjoy. You can find out more about the amazing Swim Lessons here.

1. No- the long haul

Yet another Sofar discovery is the band No. The Long Haul, happens to be one of my favorite songs from this amazing new find. With deep vocals, a melancholy, yet gritty arrangement, and lyrics that I can easily relate to, it’s not hard to see why I have been so attached to this song this week. The Long Haul is the type of song that anyone can get really into and lose themselves in. You can discover more about the amazing No here.

Cheers!
